Can I discuss sexual health during my well-woman exam?

Yes! In fact, we encourage it. This exam is one of the best opportunities to talk about your sexual and reproductive health. Our board-certified gynecologist is extremely knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have.

Do I need to schedule a follow-up exam after a well-woman exam?

Unless otherwise noted, you do not need to schedule any follow-up exams aside from scheduling your next yearly exam. If any concerns arise during your exam, we will discuss this with you and establish next steps. 

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my well-woman exam?

Preparing for your well-woman exam is pretty simple, and there is not much you need to do to prepare. Generally, we ask you to try and schedule this exam when you are not on your period. We also ask that you do not douche before your exam (showering is fine) and that you avoid sexual intercourse the day leading up to your exam. If you have any questions about preparing for or what to expect during your exam, feel free to ask any of our team members.
